it's a matter of preference.





however, someone shouldn't make the personal choice on ';well, should i be liberal, or should i be conservative.'; that's silly. the country tries to group everything up into one of two parties, and it makes me want to throw myself into the sun. the general mentality is that ';liberals believe this and this, but conservatives believe that and that,'; and so on. it doesn't make sense.
good or bad compared to what, a conservative? Conservatives' main maxim is obeying rules that need to be enforced by being strict. Liberals' maxim is cooperation with others and helping each other, which is based on the liberal concept that the world works better by nurturing it into awareness and intelligence and not by whipping it into submission.
It is as good as having one leg to walk on.

a liberal is one who wants more liberties and less restrictions but you can be liberal and not be a republican or democrat

I think it's the right view to take. Liberals have consistently been on the right side of history as champions of liberty and justice for all, not just the powerful.
Liberal means love of freedom and helping others with kindness. Liberal believe if you are kind to others, it will eventually come back to warm your heart some day.
It is neither bad nor good, though typically far right people like Limbaugh and Hannity have been trying for years to make ';Liberal'; a bad word.
It's better than being a Socialist.





I miss the real Liberals who actually loved America and believed in the free market system.
It is not good or bad - it just IS.





Everyone is different. The day people start to realize that is the day we may see true happiness and peace.
I think you have to be able to be on both sides because just being one sided left or right doesn't work for all things. Left works for some and right works for other policies.

Neither. Its simply a choice that people make. The same is true of being conservative.
neither its simply one of many POV's. Its related to how your brain is wired so its not really a choice.
It's a good thing for me because personally I wouldn't want to walk around with a stick up my arrss like the cons do.
