What makes you repubs think every Democrat is a Liberal?

Just because I believe you need to keep your bible thumping to your churches, and your high taxes for the rich and big corporations, doesn't make me a liberal:) Just because I believe that we shouldn't start war without faking a reason or having a exit strategy. I'm a veteran and I'm holding onto my guns Does that make me a neo con?What makes you repubs think every Democrat is a Liberal?

I was a moderate Democrat until I left the party this summer. I felt that 30 years ago when I joined, the Democratic party represented the average hard working taxpaying American and their moderate stands on social issues really appealed to me. When I saw the party nominate a Socialist and get endorsements from rich celebrities, it has become the party of the elite. Blacks, college students, and rich elitists are the people who control the party. It no longer has room for the white working class person in America. That is why I'm voting McCain. He has extended his hand out to those of us who were disenfranchised when Hillary was left off the ticket when she was much more qualified than Obama.
Okay Rick 31, Hillary and Obama agree on 95% of the issues, but if that is not enough for you, go vote for McCain, who disagrees with Hillary on 90% of the issues...but you're probably an actual Repub anyway.





My answer to this question is simply this- No one should be afraid of The word ';liberal'; Franklin Delano Roosevelt and JFK were both proud liberals, and many presidents, from Teddy Roosavelt to Woodrow Wilson, shared many of the parts of modern day liberal idealogy: Taxing the Rich, Restricting or Busting up major corporations, regulating many aspects of production and the economy as well as a general expansion of Federal Power in order to ensure the rights of the Average Citizen- For example, Teddy actually wanted to bring into being a Civil Rights Act to help African Americans in the South, but could not, as Southern politicians opposed it.





There is a liberal heritage that stretches back to Tom Paine and many of the other founding fathers; be proud of it. And plenty of libs are gun owners, we just don't want full automatics in the hands of criminals.





That being said, moderates are well represented in the modern Democratic Party, as Obama will be one of the most truly Bipartisan Presidents in Modern History.
I don't believe in pushing religion on people either, leave them alone


and when the pain overcomes their gain, they will come begging, not


to me of course, I can't help them, they will know when the time comes


as to Whom they will beg to.





The rich are usually not the ones hit with high taxes, the middle class are the ones slipping into the lower echelon, these are the ones who


are losing the most of what they earn.





I agree wholeheartedly with you on the war thing, I am also a veteran


of another unpopular war at another unpopular time in our history.





I don't need an assult rifle for my home protection, but I do have Smith and Wesson close by for that. I have Winchester and Browning for


for skeets and I keep my Remington .22 ready for spot shooting on the


local shooting range I even have a Daisy .177 pellet air rifle I like to shot at pop cans once in while. I don't shoot living things such as


bird, chipmonks (ground squirrels as they are called here), I don't


have the ability to give back life, so if I don't need to preserve mine, I won't take theirs, to that end, copperheads and rattlesnakes are open game for me!





Are you a liberal or conservative? Any any given time, like the rest of us you are not categorized, you are a citizen of our country and we are pleased to have you aboard!



Your reasoning for not being liberal really sounds liberal to me. I think you're in denial, Matthew, and the sooner you come to the realization of who you are and why you think the way you do, the happier and more secure you will be. Keep your gun if it makes you happy, it's your right to do so.
This is an excellent Observation, Because I am only as liberal as the country I live in, The Bill of Rights is no Conservative Document. Most Blacks are Christian, conservative, and Democrat. This is just a fact so they must be talking about all Democrats except the Black ones.
Mainly because the man that is up for election from the Democrats is a Liberal. All of the focus you hear these next few moths will be directed at Liberals. Obama has shown an extremely Liberal voting record. He is no where near being a moderate. Why would the GOP aim shots at moderates? That would be like being engaged in a battle and only firing warnng shots across the bow.
I was going to there is some centered democcrats, as there is some centered republicans. After reading your statements, I guess you are not in the center.


However Obama does want to take away some of those gun your holding onto, if not yours someone elses.
A Republican view of a Liberal is ANYONE who does not walk in lockstep with them for the Homeland. Oops to close to homeland security for me..I didn't like the Clinton's but at least they left the Constitution alone so label me a liberal if you must as that is who started this country.
