Can a person be a liberal if they think every law-abiding citizen should have a gun and carry it on them?

If you believe in universal health care and gay marriage as well, are you just thrown into the pile with the rest of the stinking liberals? Can a person be a liberal if they think every law-abiding citizen should have a gun and carry it on them?
you don't have to agree on every issue to be a liberal.. just how much you agree with makes you ';more'; or ';less'; liberal. same thing with conservatives, as well.

Can a person be a liberal if they think every law-abiding citizen should have a gun and carry it on them?
i understand why someone might not support universal healthcare cos it increases taxpayers funds, but why wouldnt u support gay marriage? how does someone else's marriage affect u? at most, all u can say is that it ';soils my eyes';, which is what people used to say re mixed-raced marriages
i choose not to define myself as a certain party. i dont coincidentally have the exact same views as any one party. i try to make reasonable informed and fair decisions about each issue individually. i think a lot of people group themselves into a party and then automatically side with that party or candidate on any new issues that arise. thats stupid, which is why i am registered unaffiliated. its a shame that the system has become so party based. theres my rant hope you enjoy it
Exercising your own rights and protecting the rights of others are American values; neither liberal nor conservative.

I'll leave the discussions about universal health care to someone else.
if you're that particular liberal, then there's hope for you, after all.

and you don't need to put in a luny (looney) bin.
Great question...considering CONSTITUTION clearly calls out our second amendment....the right to bear arms!!!

I guess they were referring to some specific partisan though...right???

another gung ho politician
You don't decide to be a liberal then adopt beliefs. A wise person looks at their beliefs and decides whether or not they're liberal/conservative.
You may just be independent. I think most critical thinkers fall into that category.
I don't think we should give liberals guns. They might hurt themselves.
Yeah, but you should as well be in a luny bin
