It's what they do. They can't help themselves. They've had so much power for so long, they can't bear the thought of losing it, so they take every single opportunity they can find and try to bend the minds of our citizens.





Sadly, the days of honest, unbiased reporting are long gone in the vast majority of media outlets. They don't even try to appear to be fair. They have their agenda, and they push it hard. It's all they've got left.

Honestly, I didn't see the opening ceremonies but can't imagine an openly ';liberal'; discussion on the various attending nations. The problem is that the media is SO conservative that they are able to frame every topic the way the republicans want and there is little to no liberal view to oppose it.





We can all name 30 conservative media personalities. How many liberals can you name?

Drilling, affirmative action, strong economy for business, personal attacks, voter fraud, celebrities, muslims and terror are all conservative talking points.





Liberals want to talk about, alternative energy, Bush/Cheney impeachment, healthcare, failing schools and roads, breaking up the monopolies in energy and media, bad economy for employees, the enviroment and the distruction of the constitution.





Wiretapping, torturing, corporate handouts and bailouts are on tv every night but they aren't talking how it could affect you.





There is no liberal media, other than Countdown with Keith Olbermann. The rest of the day is Pat Buchannan, Joe Scarborough, Tucker Carlson, Chris Mathews (not a liberal).

The Media is not liberal





NBC is owned by GE...one of the biggest defense contractors ever to exist... they make a LOT of money by going to war. They love making disgusting amounts of money, and they LOVE going to war...so they're Conservative Republicans if anything.








PLUS... i don't know where you've been for so long, but CHINA is the reason this is political... the big question is, ';should china have ever been awared with the olympics in light of their horrible human rights record?';
That has always been part of the modern Olympics. If it wasn't political, then the athletes wouldn't compete under their country's flag, they'd just get together and compete.





And what sporting event should the commentators have been discussing during the parade of nations?
Can you give me an example Annie? I am not doubting you, just want an example.





Since when is educating an audience liberal or conservative? This is the thing about some neo-cons. If they don't like it - it has to be liberal.
Because the SCLM (so-called ';liberal'; media) are conservative, capitalistic commercial enterprises that are more interested in spewing than in informing.
The media is nothing but a manipulative organization that is caught up in their delusion of power. Watch the event and mute it when you can.

lol, the ORIGINAL Olympics, back in Greece, were all about politics.. it always has been about politics... get over yourself.
The Olympics is about people, Politics is about people. Therefore we have a political venue..
I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE I DON'T FOLLOW THE OLYMPICS ANY MORE. WE DO WHAT WE USED TO ACCUSE THE SOVIET BLOC COUNTRIES OF DOING. THEY USED DRUGS AND HAD PROFESSIONALS REPRESENT THEM IN THE GAMES. THINGS HAVEN'T SEEMED TO HAVE CHANGE.
In one form or another it always has been. Has nothing to do with your chicken little fear of a so called liberal media.
Started with Carter with the boycott of the Moscow games. Now the liberals think that this is an ace in the hole to be pulled out anytime that a country doesn't do our bidding. Yup that is the Democrats answer to everything, if you don't play by our rules, we are taking our ball and going home.
They turn everything into a political venue....being socialists they want government involved with every aspect of life so that they can 'level the playing field'; needed or not.
