Oh, it was all that morbid conservative ';chivalrous'; stuff like no marital rape laws until liberals fought for federal laws ending that conservative practice, like a man being allowed to rape his ex-wife in many states even after divorce, like not having the cops help us in domestic violence situations, like being locked out of educational opportunities until liberals fought for Titlt IX for us, like having to have a man's co-signature to get a business loan, like having to fight for laws to end the typical conservative exploitation of unequal pay, like not being allowed to have our own credit cards, like being told by men if and when we could use birth control, like not being included as subjects in medical research, like not being allowed to take many math and science courses in public schools, like not being allowed equal gym time in public schools, like not being allowed to enlist in the military without a man's signature, like conservatives screeching against the Americans With Disabilities Act, like conservatives slashing all funding for prenatal care for the poor, like conservatives fighting HARD for mandatory sterilizations of women in mental facilities / Black poor women / women in prisons, like conservatives slashing almost all funding in the 1980's for preschool age children food programs and thousands of little kids starving from that, stuff like that made us realize we could be truly classier than that putrid conservative ';vision';. What a conservative male calls a ';classy'; woman is usually a prostitute, male or female. Ask Ted Haggard.

Women were oppressed for so many years. With no rights what so ever, So its only natural that most females are liberal these days. Frankly Society is more liberal then conservative these days. And honestly being Liberal doesn't make you classless. Objectifying people because of their political views and beliefs is classless.
I agree with R Gaspari. Sometimes that's the only way to survive in this modern trend where women have to fend for themselves; especially with he increased rate of divorce and unemployment. Women got to be tough. Gone are the days where most women are homemakers.
Because liberal means tolerance for human differences rather than authoritarian adherence to dogma, upbringing or other indoctrination.

I don't think most women are. Most of the women I know are more conservative than I am. It should be noted I live in what is probably the most conservative state in the country when I say that.
I think we have different ideas of classy. A smart, ethical, competent woman is classy to me. A beauty pageant contestant is not classy to me.
I think it has to do with modern feminism. I am not a liberal or a feminist. I don't know if I'd call myself classy, though....I am just a normal woman.
because this is the USA, girls here are known for liberal acts, hollywood for example, i think girs just think its sexy.
This is the product of modern Feminism and liberal ideology as it's applied to young people.
You're going to have to be more specific because being liberal does not equal not being classy.

There's an abundance of classy women out here in the world. Maybe you're just not meeting any. Saying ';most women'; are liberal is just your personal opinion, which doesn't make it true.
They are out there but most are in relationships, you aren't the only one looking.
One can't be classy and be progressive and have concern for others on your planet?
