Is the University of Florida more of a science school than a liberal arts school?

I would love to major in Philosophy because thats who I am in every day life-a philosopher. Biology is also useful and interesting. However, Philosophy is a liberal art. Does UF have a descent Philosophy program? What about Biology? Multiple sources have not listed UF on lists of highly regarded philosophy and biology programs.Is the University of Florida more of a science school than a liberal arts school?
UF is definitely not a Liberal Arts university. If you look at the cutbacks UF have been doing over the past 2 years, most of it have been in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. UF has cut several Liberal Arts programs even before it considered cutting their recreational scuba classes and other non academic courses.





If you want to major in Liberal Arts, go to one of the smaller private universities in Florida or go to FSU.
