Why do conservatives claim that MSNBC is the most liberal media?

So we were in the living room and my cousin didn't wanna watch Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann on MSNBC why?Why do conservatives claim that MSNBC is the most liberal media?
By any chance, was your cousin a republican?

Jordan, Lou is a Registered RepublicanWhy do conservatives claim that MSNBC is the most liberal media?
Conservatives who single-source their news (TV: FOX; Radio: Limbaugh, Savage and Beck; Print: NY Daily News; Internet: worldNUTdaily) are not used to: A, real news; B, opposing points of view; C, seeing their icons ripped to shreds, hung by theiur own words when Keith Olbermann, Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow use video, audio and print to show up the 'cons for what they are: lying hypocrites.

Example: Bill-O The Clown was tryiing to browbeat FOX's token liberal, their in-house eunuch named Alan Colmes, into believing, WRONGLY, that President Nixon did NOT shake hands with Mao Tsetung. First, Bill-O said that it was ';Chou'; (meaning Chou En Lai, which is obviously wrong), then went into his ';okay, okay'; mode. BUT: Olbermann showed the clip of a SMILING Nixon shaking hands with Mao... AND - get this!!! - BOWING, too.

No wonder your cousin is offended: the truth HURTS!!

';madart'; has it exactly right: MSNBC does impeccable research, FOX doesn't. That's the difference between those 2 cable channels. Add to that the fact that MSNBC's ';liberal'; hosts actually disagree, sometimes vehemently, when ANYONE does the wrong thing, whether it's Michelle Bachmann, Rush Limbaugh, OR Obama. I have also seen MSNBC ';own up'; to any mistake or false impression that they may have left with the public, as when Rachel Maddow apologized to the ';Left behind'; authors who claimed (wrongly) that her interview with them had been maliciously edited (the tape was uncut and unaltered).

FOX has shown itself to unbalanced (and there I'm being kind) more than any other channel that I watch. The ';fairest'; of the FOXies are Greg Jared, Shep Smith (who, much to his credit, went ';off'; about torture with some of his fellow FOXies) and, surprisingly, Geraldo Rivera.

When FOX has to stoop so low as to have in-house pundits like (M)ann Coulter, Dick(less) Morris and others of their ilk appear regularly, and to have Chris Wallace and Brit Hume as their newest sell-outs, then you know that the Light of Truth is an unknown entity in the dark, murky halls in the empire of Rupert Murdoch, the Australian fascist. The only good thing about FOX is that Murdoch's personal fortune has been cut in half in the last year, and ad revenue for FOX is down over 4% this year.

.
Who would want to listen to a pompous windbag? That is why I do not watch or listen to Rush Limbaugh or Keith Olbermann.

BTW. Rachel Maddow has a show on the Air America radio network, which calls itself liberal. When someone refers themselves as liberal, it is safe to assume that they are.

%26gt;No, Olbermann is not good at fact checking. Aside from referring to Chauncey Billups as playing for Denver (he is a Detroit Piston, as a former sportscaster should know), Olbermann really ticked me off several months ago with an error.

Olbermann went on a rant about the lack of MRAP (mine resistant, ambush protected) vehicles in Iraq. As he ranted against the Bush admistration, he often repeated that there were no MRAPs delivered to US troops in Iraq. Oddly, the Navy Construction Battalion from my reserve center had recently sent a unit photograph from Iraq: the SeaBees were standing in between two of their vehicles, which happened to be MRAPs. While Olbermann's rant was meant to expose the corruption and incompetence of the Bush administration, he exposed his own.

BTW. Is his researcher the idiot who laughs at Olbermann's bad jokes off camera?

%26gt;If Fox News has ';token'; liberals, Olbermann has nobody on his show who might have an opposing view. The SNL skit of Olbermann had a lot of truth to it: he is the one that browbeats those who do not agree with him.

Ask Suzy Kolber how tolerant Olbermann is to others.
They are both liberal and I can see why conservatives don't like them. But unlike many of their conservative counter-part (but not all) they do good fact checking and are quick to correct any errors. They are well researched and go into greater depth than many news commentary shows. They are not afraid to criticize other liberals when they are corrupt or do things that they disagree with. But they do lean to the left and have viciously ( and perhaps rightfully) attacked the right wing.
anyone that watches or agrees with MSNBC is definitely a carrier of the mental disease known as liberalism.
Because they lie more than they tell the truth. Their point of view is so far left that they can not see the middle with a telescope. In my opinion their shows will be shut down as I understand they like all liberal media LOSE MONEY as they can not generate the fan base to support their contineus assualt on the truth and reality
All he does is criticize the right, same with the guys on Fox only vice versa. That is why I watch Lou Dobbs he's independent and doesn't mind criticizing both.MSNBC used to be great...very reliable news source...now they are Fox but just the opposite. It is irritating to see good news sources become part of the bias machine.
Well, Fox News is obviously right-of-center. CNN is a big question mark, I can't tell one way or the other. MSNBC is the only channel that people on the left can use. Meaning, useful. However, the European version of CNN is quite good.
You answered your question in your question.
It sounds like your cousin has a hell of a lot more sense than you do. Maybe you should listen to your cousin more often.
Who would want ot sit and listen to those hate mongers. Your cousin is a smart person.
According to the TV ratings, your cousins aren't the ONLY once who don't watch those two.
It may have something to do with the fact that MSLSD is a gaggle of kowtowing, partisan, shrill hacks.
smart cousins
you know, I'm a liberal and they're too liberal for me
